The Economic Commission for Africa’s (ECA) Trade and Regional Integration Division (TRID) has launched a new series of publications through its African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC). The objective of these publications is to make outcomes of the Division’s research and analysis available to a wider audience, and invite debate and comment on them. The two new series’ are called the ATPC Work In Progress, and the ATPC Briefings.
1.
ATPC
Work in Progress. This series will provide the initial results of research
and analyses done in the Divisions, and provide an opportunity for interested
parties, both within ECA and in external organizations, to comment on the work.
The first paper in the series in titled “Les Processus de Creation du
Marche Commun Africain” and is only available in French. All comments
should be sent electronically to the director of TRID, Hakim Ben Hammouda, at
hbenhammouda@uneca.org
2.
ATPC Briefings.
This series will distill concrete results from the Division’s research
work into a concise brief with recommendations for policy makers. One brief
has already been published in this series titled “Briefing Paper on Trade
Facilitation,” and is available in English only.
Both publications are now available on ECA Web sites. The Division also continues to publish papers under the ECA Policy Papers Series and the ECA Issues Paper Series. Two recent publications, titled: Mainstreaming Trade in National Development Strategies: An Issues Paper; and Unlocking Africa’s Trade Potential in the Global Economy: A Policy Paper; are now available on ECA Web sites.
