Abdoulie Janneh receives appreciation award from the Center for Global Trade Analysis

The Center for Global Trade Analysis, Purdue University, recently presented Under Secretary General and Executive Secretary of ECA, Mr. Abdoulie Janneh with an appreciation award.
The award is in recognition of the Commission's contribution to the successful outcome of the 9 th annual Conference on global Analysis held from 15 to 17 June 2006 in Addis Ababa. This Conference, the most important global gathering on trade issues and the first one ever hosted in Africa was sponsored by the African Trade Policy Center and attended by 400 participants. It provided leading economists and researchers from the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) with an opportunity to present their work, interact with other professionals in the field and learn more about recent developments in global economic analysis.
The Center for Global Trade Analysis is a publicly funded university-based home for GTAP, the most important global network on trade issues. It comprises researchers and policy makers conducting quantitative analysis of international policy issues.
