Mr. Adboulie Janneh, Executive Secretary of the United Nations
Economic Commission on Africa (UNECA) presented the 2009 Mutual
Review of Development Effectiveness (MRDE). The report, which
was prepared jointly by the ECA and the Organisation for Economic
Cooperation and Development (OECD) in response to a request
from the NEPAD Heads of State and Government, was launched at
the 20 th Summit of NEPAD Heads of State and Government Implementation
Committee. The report's main objectives are to gauge how far
commitments made by Africa and its development partners have
been delivered, whether they have produced the desired results
