Globalisation and the Information Age"
| O utcome and follow-up mechanismsThe Forum is expected to result in the adoption of 15-20 country action plans for the utilization of ICTs to accelerate social and economic growth as well as recommendations regarding the impact on Africa of globalisation and the information age to update the AISI vision at the end of the millenium. ECA will work with other development partners to implement the country action plans endorsed at the Forum and to update the AISI. The proceedings and the position papers of the Forum will be distributed widely by print and electronic means. The post-Forum Summit Dialogue Shortly after the Forum, ECA will organize a post-Forum Summit Dialogue convening selected Heads of State and Government to ensure their full support for the country action plans and Forum recommendations as well as to underscore their endorsement of the importance of the issues considered by ADF ’99. |
