Full Internet services are being developed by the national telecom, CST, as joint venture with Portugal Telecommunications International (PTI) and its Internet Service Provider "Telepac".

The .st domain registration is currently administered by a joint venture between Tecnologia de Sistemas Informático, the leading enterprise of the local computer community of Sao Tome and Principe, and Bahnhof Internet AB, one of Sweden's oldest, most experienced and technically advanced Internet Service Providers. Bahnhof Internet AB has recently shown interest in investing in Sao Tome and Principe's Internet infrastructure. In October 1999, Bahnhof Internet AB plans to link Sao Tome to its central network system in Sweden via Satellite. The network system will be connected at the most important center in Europe known as Global Internet Exchange Point (Stockholm D-GIX) using fiber optic cables.
