established a 128Kbps international Internet Link. It also has another 128 Kbps link via
Globe-One in the US.
EBOnet has
two POPs in Luanda and one each in Cabinda and Benguela. EBOnet started
its operations in late 1996, and was the first ISP in the country.

The Universidade Agostinho Neto (UAN) was
assisted by a Portuguese co-operation project to establish an analog lease line link
directly to Portugal. The system is used by staff members and post-graduate students
through the LAN at the Faculty of Engineering.
