CBINET is a full ISP established by the Centre national d'informatique in Bujumbura. CBINET connects via a VSAT to SkyNet in Belgium.

A private company, Bi-Network,  has set up an e-mail only service, mainly used by those who can not afford the high cost of CBINET. Bi-Network was established on October 1997 as a joint venture between African Net Burundi and  African World Services.
