- Réseau ANAIS (ANAIS Network): ANAIS is a network
of organisations and individuals who desire to put together their knowledge, expertise and
efforts in order to make it easy to master information technology and communication for
development. The ANAIS network was created following the Geneva
Conference on Africa and New Information Technologies (October 1996), co-chaired by Alpha Oumar Konaré, President of the Republic of
Mali, and Guy-Olivier Segond, Counsellor of State of Geneva. Its member states in
Africa and Europe are Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, France, Ghana, Guinea, Mali,
Sénégal and Swizerland. The web site is available in English and in French.

Final Declaration: This is the Final Declaration adopted by participants of the Geneva
Conference on Africa and new information technologies, 17-18 October 1996, and
which called
for the establishment of a network to facilitate social use of information technology by
Africans.
