GRANTS: Strengthening Capacity in OIC Countries for
Water Resources Research
Organisation: Inter-Islamic Network on Water Resources Development
and
Management (INWRDAM), Organization of the Islamic Conference's
Standing
Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH),
and
International Foundation for Science (IFS).
Amount: up to US$ 12,000 (EUR 9,600) in research support for
projects
lasting 1-3 years
Eligibility: citizens of member countries of the Organization
of Islamic
Conferences (OIC) [http://www.oic-oci.org/english/main/member-States.htm],
40 years of
age or younger (45 year for researchers from Sub-Saharan Africa
who have
completed MSc, MA, PhD, Post-Doc or equivalent in the previous
5 years),
holders of at minimum a MA/MSc degree or the equivalent, attached
to a
research institution, and at the beginning of their research
career. The
proposed research must be carried out in a developing country.
Women are
particularly encouraged to apply. Team coordinators (no age
limit)
should be citizens of an OIC country, holders of a PhD or the
equivalent
and attached to a research institution in a developing country.
