Pan-African Women Lawyers' Conference Questionnaire, October 2008
The Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria and PACDA (Peace and Community Development Alliance) are organizing a Pan-African Women Lawyers' Conference for women lawyers and judges from all 53 African countries. Many women lawyers working in Africa have expressed a need for a forum where they can share their experiences and collaborate to develop strategies for a stronger and more unified approach to women's rights. We hope that this conference will provide such a forum. The inaugural Conference will be held at the Centre in October 2008 and the focus will be legal issues surrounding women's rights and the protection of those rights.
Please take a few minutes to complete a short Questionnaire in order to help us with this effort. We are seeking your input so that we can address the key issues of interest to women lawyers throughout Africa and provide a Conference responsive to your needs.
Links to the Questionnaire in English, français, Português, and Arabic are posted on the homepage of the PACDA website at www.pacda.org
We would like to hear from as many women lawyers as possible. You may have received this email because it is being distributed through organizations to which you may belong or with which you may be affiliated. If you would please pass it along to other women lawyers you think might be interested, we would be very grateful.
