Provides Touchscreen Kiosk for Addis Ababa Local Administration

A multimedia touch-screen kiosk in Amharic, developed
by ECA`s Information Technology Centre for Africa (ITCA)
to showcase the value of ICTs for facilitating information
delivery in local administration was launched on 25 August
2004 at the Nefa Silk Lafto Sub-City of the Addis Ababa
Municipality.

Embarks on Telemedicine Project

A two-week telemedicine training programme for over 20
Ethiopian medical doctors drawn from 10 hospitals in Addis
Ababa and regional towns started on Monday 16th August
2004 at the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC).The
Development Information Services Division (DISD) of ECA
is making available expertise and training facilities
for this training and other follow-up activities. |
