WSIS Follow-up Conference concludes with call for access to information for all

The World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) Follow-up Conference concluded Thursday 30 March with a resolution to develop the Access to Information Network-Africa in order to promote access to, and more effective use of government information for democratic and economic development in Africa.

Representatives of government, national libraries and archives, universities and other research institutions from across Africa gathered this morning for the opening of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Follow-up Conference on Access to Information and Knowledge for Development.
