Conference on the role of sub0national governments in efforts to achieve the MDGs in Africa concludes in Abuja, Nigeria
Addis Ababa, 11 May 2009 (ECA) - United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the Federal Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Nigeria, the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on MDGs in collaboration with the World Bank organized a conference on “the role of sub-national jurisdictions in efforts to achieve the MDGs in Africa”, held from 7-9 May 2009 in Abuja, Nigeria. The Conference explored and interrogated the role of sub-national jurisdictions in efforts to achieve the MDGs in Africa and proposed policy recommendations for consideration and adoption by African policy makers. |
