The report (in French) includes: the analysis of macroeconomic dynamics in the Central African sub-region for the period 2005-2007, updates on the regional integration process, a thematic study on poverty in the sub-region, and the statistical tables with main macroeconomic indicators for the 10 countries of the Economic Community of Central Africa (ECCAS).

The economic performance of Central African countries in 2005-2007 is broadly positive. However, poverty indicators do not show any systematic tendency to improve. This observation motivates the thematic choice of the 2007 issue of the report "Les Economies de l'Afrique Centrale": The links between growth, poverty and inequality. The thematic study examines the interactions between growth and inequality in the determination of poverty dynamics and proposes a number of policy recommendations, including strategic options to promote economic diversification and the strengthening of sub-regional cooperation and partnerships.
