i.) Support to the implementation of UN Action Plans for NEPAD in East Africa. In its capacity as the Chair of the Annual Regional Consultations of UN Agencies Working in Africa, ECA is responsible for coordinating the activities of the UN thematic clusters on NEPAD at the subregional level. Building on the experiences gained through the collaborative arrangements between major RECs and ECA’s Office for East Africa and the successful undertakings under the UN Resident Coordinator system that are the CCA and UNDAF, the project aims to galvanize UN efforts in support of NEPAD programmes in the subregion.

ii.) Establishment and operation of an inter-active electronic trade and investment data and information Network (TIIN)

iii.) Support to national statistics offices for the implementation of the 1993 System of National Account (SNA93) in East Africa
