ISSUE CALLING FOR ACTION BY THE COMMISSION

Ninth session of the Conference of African Planners, Statisticians, Population and Information Specialists

Decision on the replacement of members of the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) Governing Council

The Conference of African Planners, Statisticians, Population and Information Specialists, at its ninth session held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 11 to 16 March 1996, decides that effective 1 January 1997, the composition of the Governing Council of the African Institute for Economic Planning and Development (IDEP) shall be as follows:

(a) North African subregion: Egypt, the Libyan Arab Jamahiriyan Arab Jamahiriya and Tunisia;

(b) West African subregion: Guinea, Nigeria and Togo;

(d) Eastern and Southern Afri can subregion: Ethiopia, Malawi and Swaziland.
