| GUIDELINES FOR THE PREPARATION OF COUNTRY REPORT on population matters, policies and interventions in « reproductive rights and reproductive health, with special reference to HIV/AIDS » ECONOMIC COMMISSION FOR AFRICA I. Suggested outline 1. To enable ECA to achieve a comprehensive review of the implementation of the DND and ICPD, and draw relevant lessons to further mainstream population into regional policies and programmes, especially the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) also referred to as the New African Initiative, the present guidelines have been drafted to solicit a 10-15 page report. 2. The following outline is suggested for the preparation of the country report: A. Introduction B. Overview of demographic and socio-economic situation and trends C. Policies and interventions in « reproductive rights and reproductive health, with special reference to HIV/AIDS » D. Africa's development frameworks and population matters: (i) Key population issues and challenges for the next decades (ii) Recommendations for policy oriented actions III. How to send the report 5. The country report (one hard copy and a Word or WordPerfect file on diskette) together with any accompagnying relevant documents should be sent by regular mail, no latter than 15 January 2002, to the following address: THE DIRECTOR 6.
