Uganda essential Information

Visa Requirements: A entry visa is required for Uganda, which can be obtained from the Ugandan High Commission in Commonwealth countries or embassies in other countries. The visa is usually valid for three months and its cost is $25.

Health requirements: A yellow fever certificate is necessary to enter Uganda. There are no vaccinations required although nus,Typhoid,Polio,Meningitis and Hepatitis A are recommended. Malaria does exist in Uganda and it is therefore essential to seek professional medical advice prior to arrival in Uganda.

Money: The currency is the Ugandan shilling. The use and acceptance of credit cards is not so widespread, especially in remote areas.

Climate: Although the weather pattern in the north of Uganda does vary from the south, Uganda overall enjoys a tropical climate typical of East Africa. The rainy season falls around April-June, which are usually the coolest months (average temperature 73 Fahrenheit).
