The inventory is, at this point in time, far from being complete. Its compilation has been basesd on a survey carried out during 1998 to 2001 whereby more than two hundred learning institutions were contacted in Africa. Unfortunately, the majority of them failed to return the questionnaires - and some who did replied only partially - in spite of several reminders. Our intention is, however, to pursue our efforts during the 2002-2003 biennium to extend its quality and completeness and can serve the objectives set up by the member  States.
