Contact Person: The Head of Civil Engineering Department Prof. Dr./ Abd El Rahman MegahedCivil Engineering department offers Undergraduate and Graduate studies programs. A general B. Sc. degree in civil engineering for Undergraduate and Higher Diploma study, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees for post graduates. Civil Engineering has 43 Staff member in all Civil Engineering branches; also it has 8 laboratories which are well equipped to cover all scientific activities in Civil Engineering. The laboratories carry the task of experiments for consultation activities to be sure that the results match with the general specification & Standards. There are three main divisions in Civil Engineering.
The remote sensing center, which was established in the faculty of engineering in 1993 as a result of a cooperation program between Assuit University and MED COMPUS, can be considered as a specialized center in geomatics. This remote sensing center is equipped with computer workstation, PCs, GPS equipment and some GIS and image processing software. This center offers short courses and holds workshops, with cooperation between foreign and other Egyptian universities and institutes, in the following subjects:
