Department in focus:

The Department aims to produce graduates who are self-motivated, independent, critical thinkers who have acquired a specialist knowledge within a broad geographical training, and who are equipped with the necessary skills with which to contribute to regional and national development. The department offers Bachelor and Postgraduate degrees. The undergraduate program is a three years course. There are three types of postgraduate study. These are honour courses, Masters degrees and doctoral degrees. The Honour courses give a higher emphasis for GIS than other level of studies.

The department has its own laboratories for GIS, soil analysis and other purposes.
