Dear Participant,

African Capital Markets Development Workshop, Sandton, Johannesburg, 27-29 October 2003

By now, you should have received your invitation letter to attend this important workshop, which is being organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), in partnership with Rand Merchant Bank (RMB). The objective of the workshop is to promote capital markets development in Africa at national and regional levels. This includes providing support for capacity building of African States in developing capital markets.

As previously advised, admission to the workshop is by invitation only, therefore it is imperative that you bring your invitation letter with you, along with a picture ID.

Please find the latest Draft Programme attached. Please note that the first two days of the workshop will now be held at the FNB Conference and Training Centre, 114 Grayston Drive, Sandton, Johannesburg.

Lunch will be provided on all three days of the workshop by Rand Merchant Bank. If you have special dietary requirements, kindly inform Ms. Tracey Egnos at: tracey.egnos@rmb.co.za.

Information has already been provided to you on accommodation arrangements. You may obtain more information on the Balalaika Hotel from Mr. Wayne Pearce at: wayne@balalaika.co.za.

Information on the FNB Training Centre accommodation is attached. Please note that the accommodation and the conference centre are on the same premises. For further information, kindly contact Cjulyan@fnb.co.za.
