Africa's development - Update |
| Africa is trying to find ways
to create opportunities for inter-linked capital markets, which would make it easy for
investors to trade securities in any African stock market without restrictions. Business
people from different African countries have gathered for a three day world conference in
Johannesburg to discuss economic developments and the African Stock Markets. High ranking
banking officials and financial experts will also be present. Rand Merchant Bank and FNB
are mentioned. Jill Mann, the head of Originators for Africa, says that Africa has a lot
of debt and needs to learn how to do away with that debt. She also says that we need to
put into place a sequenced plan of good economic information. The conference will look at
the regulatory framework. |
