African countries elect new CSD Bureau

Addis Ababa, 22 October 2007 - African countries attending the 5 th meeting of the African Committee on Sustainable Development (ACSD-5), today in Addis Ababa elected a new Bureau to conduct its affairs for the next two years, taking over from a Bureau chaired by Nigeria.

The countries elected are:

  • Kenya as President:
  • Ist Vice President: Namibia
  • 2 nd Vice President: Democratic Republic of Congo
  • 3 rd Vice President: Sudan
  • Rapporteur: Senegal

The four-day meeting ends on Thursday
