Global Distance Education Net

The Global Distance Education Net (DistEdNet) is a knowledge guide to distance education designed to help clients of the World Bank and others interested in using distance education for human development. European Survey of Information Society Projects and Actions

The European Survey of Information Society Projects and Actions (ESIS-II) offers a database on science and technology projects around the world, including African projects (English and French). The database contains a dedicated search engine that permits the selection of projects by combining different criteria: country, key words included in the project's description and objectives, application areas (education, manufacturing, healthcare, etc.) and sub-sectors (e.g. primary, secondary, adult education), technologies used, and funding.

International Institute of Tropical Agriculture

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is an international agricultural research institute with a mandate for specific food crops and with ecological and regional responsibilities to develop sustainable production systems in Africa. IITA conducts research, training, and germplasm and information exchange activities in partnership with regional bodies and national programs in many parts of sub-Saharan Africa.

American Association for the Advancement of Science

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Africa Project aims to improve access for African researchers to scientific and technical information, encourage other aspects of scientific capacity-building, articulate research and policy agendas for critical issues facing African science and society, and promote productive collaborative ties between US and African scientists and their institutions.
