The joint ECA -African Union (AU) exhibition with the technical support of the ECA , was held from 25-30 January, 2007 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Addis Ababa.

ECA has organized a joint Exhibition with the African Union Commission on Science, Technology and Innovation, which run from 25-30 January 2007 in parallel with the 2007 Summit of Heads of States and Governments.

More than 52 innovative African projects were exhibited and visited by the UN Secretary General and several Heads of States and Governments as well as other high level African government officials. The Exhibits represent 15 member States, UN agencies, International and Regional research networks and associations. The Exhibition was officially opened by H.E. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda .

ECA has also mounted its own exhibition to promote AISI's Science, Technology and Innovation activities as well as its various alliances strategies.

ECA 's exhibition stand included several posters, documents and resource CDS. In addition AISI promotional multimedia presentations and video documentaries were displayed on a 61" Plasma Screen during the exhibition to attract visitors and give a glimpse of what AISI is all about and its areas of focus.

A video montage on speeches made by African Heads of States concerning science and technology for development was prepared and run the ECA -AU exhibition booth.
