Following
an official request from the Ethiopian Media Women Association
(EMWA) to build the ICT capacity of women journalists, ITCA
provided a 7-days training workshop on web based journalism
and information society issues for 13 of the Associations members.
It was held from 6-14 September 2004. The training comprised
of lectures on web development, Internet Radio and Internet
TV; Internet reporting methods for journalists as well as practical
multimedia development skills. In Addition the Media Training
Manual on ICTs in Africa was distributed to the participants.
Each of the journalists demonstrated the skills obtained by
creating their own websites and populating it with audio, video,
photo and textual content. |
