is a Canadian not-for-profit organization devoted to improving
the effectiveness of representative assemblies and governance
mechanisms in Canada and around the world.
International
Institute for Democracy
The Institute's main role
is to encourage co-operation on a world-wide scale between
governmental, non-governmental and interparliamentary
organisations, as well as between national parliaments,
with a view to promoting and strengthening pluralistic
democracy.
Association
of Western European Parliamentarians for Africa (AWEPA)
AWEPA, European Parliamentarians
for Africa, works to support the well functioning of parliaments
in Africa and to keep Africa on the political agenda in
Europe.
Inter-Parliamentary
Union (IPU)
The IPU is the international
organization of Parliaments of sovereign States. The Union
is the focal point for world-wide parliamentary dialogue
and works for peace and for the firm establishment of
representative democracy. It developed the PARLINE database
that stores information on country's electoral systems
and election results among others.

Action (PGA) is a unique network of over 1350 legislators
from 110 parliaments engaged in a range of action-oriented
initiatives that promote democracy, peace, justice and
