About the Information Resources on Youth Development in Africa portal
This portal is designed to serve as an entry point to articles, documents and links that deal with youth development in the African continent and the Diaspora. It also hosts a list of links of institutions and initiatives that focus on the youth in the region.
ADF is an initiative led by ECA to set up an Africa-driven development agenda, designed to advance dialogue, build consensus, and mobilize partnerships on issues of key importance to Africa's development. Previous ADFs were held in 1999 (The Challenge to Africa of Globalization and the Information Age); 2000 (AIDS: The Greatest Leadership Challenge); 2002 (Defining Priorities for Regional Integration); 2004 (Governance for a Progressing Africa).
The portal is developed by the Information Technology Centre for Africa (ITCA) for the Fifth African Development Forum (Youth and Leadership in the 21st Century).
One of the core services of ITCA is to provide relevant African content and information resources on development issues that contribute to raising awareness, providing the basis for advocacy and building capacity among various constituency groups on the continent.
