The first version of PEDA software was produced by ECA in 2000. This version contains baseline data for nine African countries, and can work only for these countries. However, the model can be initialised for additional countries by preparing new baseline data. |

The PEDA Technical Manual provides a comprehensive coverage of technical aspects of PEDA, i.e., a substantive description of the PEDA model, an overview of the user-defined scenario variables and output variables, structure of the software, underlying data bases and spreadsheets, methodological support for the initialisation of PEDA for new countries, etc. |

PEDA User's Manual [PDF] |
Unlike the PEDA Technical Manual, the PEDA User's Manual focuses on the operational aspects of the model and gives general instructions as to how to install and use the model. |

PEDA Advocacy Booklets: |
To support the ECA's mission of awareness creation on the inter-linkages between population, the environment, agriculture and socio-economic development, advocacy booklets using the PEDA model were prepared. One of them is of more general nature, while others provide country-case studies for Cameroon, Botswana, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia. |
