Description of requirements:

UNECA hereby seeks to pre-qualify a suitable contractor with a valid license Grade BC , GC-4 and above to construct fence wall, guard booth and gates on the new land granted by the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Only pre-qualified firms may be invited to the tender by “Request for Proposal” (RFP). This tender envisages selection of a single firm to undertake the contract.

Please note that the UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNECA. Those interested in responding to this invitation but not currently fully registered as vendors with UNECA, are encouraged to register before submission of the RFP. for the civil engineering works involving Construction of

East Fence, Entrance Gates and Guard Booths to the UNECA Compound Extension

GENERAL INFORMATION

Premises - Description and Location

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) at Addis Ababa received additional land (21,066 square meters) from the Addis Ababa City Administration and shall implement a construction project for New Office Facilities (NOF). This new plot of land grant by the Host Country will be required to be incorporated into the overall ECA campus.

SERVICES REQUIRED

The contractor shall be expected to provide labor and material for the construction of the following works:

1. East Fence Extension covering 570 meters length

2. Guard Booth and Gates

Major activities are the following:

Civil works

Description

Excavation Works;

Concrete works;

Reinforcement Bars diam.8-16;

Dressed stone cladding;

Steel fabricated Motorized gates;

3 m high metal fence grill;

UPVC 100mm diameter.

Electrical works

Main Electrical Distribution Board

Sub distribution board

Cables 3x2.5mm 2 -5x16mm 2

Communication cable (C-bus)
