DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) solicits the services of qualified Contractor/s with a valid license grade GC/BC-4 and above to make expansion of the ECA North Car Parking facility by constructing three additional floors making use of existing foundation.  The proposed three additional floors on the existing structure will make available additional 250 parking lots.  The successful contractor shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the proper execution of the construction of three additional floors of car parking and spiral ramps and stairs on top of the existing reinforced concrete structure by extending the reinforced concrete structure according to the structural design.  Technical specification as well as Bills of Quantities and drawings reflecting the required work will be issued with the Solicitation document at the time of issuance of a solicitation document.

Short-listed and eligible firms that passed the pre-qualification stage will be invited to participate in the above tender in a form of a Request for Proposal (RFP).

UNECA is precluded from entering into a contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNECA.  Those interested in responding to this invitation but not currently fully registered, as vendors with UNECA, are encouraged to register.  Registration Form and “Vendor Response Form” could be downloaded from www.uneca.org/procurement or similar documents could also be collected from the UNECA, General Services Section, 2nd floor, Room no. 2N11.  In order to be eligible for UN Registration, please make sure to declare in writing the   Prerequisite for Eligibility criteria  itemized from A-E   as contained in  EOI instruction  attached.
