DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT
UNECA hereby seeks to pre-qualify a suitable contractor registered in the field and capable to supply, install and commission weather proofing to the UN Conference Center (UNCC) flat roof covering approximately 5,000 m2. The works involve dismantling the existing weather proofing system down to existing concrete slab level, installation of new weather and water proofing systems as per the specification. Additionally the work involve supplying (i)50mm thick Extruded polystyrene XPS thermal insulation to add new thermal insulation on the existing one, (ii)Mechanical fasten the 1.8mm polymeric roofing membrane with type SFS TI 6.3 x 1 fasteners or equal and approved and seam washers along the edge of the roofing membrane.Interested contractor should have (i) a license for the establishment of the organization in the weather proofing field, local vendors should be VAT registered; (ii) Five years past experience in supply and install and commission weather proofing. Only a pre-qualified firm may be invited to the tender by a “Request for Proposal” (RFP).
Please note that the UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNECA. Those interested in responding to this invitation but not currently fully registered as vendors with UNECA, are encouraged to register before submission of their offer. In order to be eligible for UN Registration, please make sure to declare in writing the Prerequisite for Eligibility criteria itemized from A-E as contained in EOI instruction attached.
