The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) solicits for qualified Contractor/s with valid license to express their interest for supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Demand-Controlled Ventilation (DCV) System at Conference Room 1 (CR1), which will be composed of:
- Direct Digital Controllers (DDC),
- Drive units to be interfaced with the controller,
- Remote control and display panel and
- Field devices (temperature, pressure, humidity, etc. sensors for Air Handling Units (AHU)
The above serves the entirety of air conditioning for CR1 at the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC) building.
As part of upgrading the existing facilities and in line with the ‘greening the UN’ policy through the application of energy-saving technologies, this pilot project aims at upgrading the control system of air conditioning system of CR1 to make it more energy efficient with better performance. Once this pilot project is successful, then similar installations will be implemented in other conference rooms progressively.
It is strongly recommended that manufacturers or approved agents of manufacturers express their interests. The vendor should be able to exhibit previous experience of at least six years in supplying and installation of similar equipment of Building Management System (BMS) in large building complexes in order to be eligible for this tender.
Technical specification as well as Bills of Quantities and drawings reflecting the required work will be issued with the Solicitation document at the time of issuance of a solicitation document.
Short-listed and eligible firms that passed this stage will be invited to participate in the above tender in a form of a Request for Proposal (RFP).
UNECA is precluded from entering into a contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNECA.
