The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) hereby seeks a suitable Contractor capable of undertaking a project to successfully prepare, install, configure, test, and commission all relevant equipment and applications as needed to deploy a Cisco-based IP telephony system, to initially support 500 users and be scalable to support 3000 users at its headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The engagement will also include interfacing the new IP telephony system with the existing legacy Ericsson MD110 PBX, in order to provide IP telephony services as well as adjacent applications in a new office environment based on a CISCO appliance-based Unified Communication solution. Please note, UNECA will provide all necessary infrastructure and equipment required to achieve the above project goal.
The solution will provide telephonic capabilities on an existing data infrastructure and in full feature transparent networking with the existing TDM telephone system.
Interested contractors should:
- Be Certified Cisco Gold Partners for Unified Communications and/or Registered Cisco Advanced Unified Communications Partners
- Have delivered at least three Cisco-based IPT technology solutions in the past at an enterprise level
- Have experience with ISDN standards (public and private), VoIP/IPT standards (H323, SIP, and SCCP) as well as legacy analog signaling systems
Only pre-qualified firms in terms of the above three points and with valid licenses may be invited to the tender by a “Request for Proposal” (RFP).
