The Regional Coordination Mechanism for Africa (RCM-Africa) is a UN system-wide framework for collaboration and coordination aiming to fast-track programme implementation the continental and global priorities in Africa.
Subregional coordination mechanisms cater for coordination work in the various subregions. The Central Africa Subregional Coordination Mechanism (SRCM-CA) is one of them.
In November 2018, SRCM-CA adopted its Third Common Indicative Program (CIP-III), 2019-2023 with a dozen programmes under the following categories:

(i) Structural transformation for inclusive and sustainable economic development;
(ii) Market access and anchorage in the value chain;
(iii) Improving of human and social conditions; and
(iv) Promoting Governance, Peace and Security.

The main objective of the meeting is therefore to examine progress made so far with the new Common Indicative Program and tighten planning for the work that lies ahead.
