Climate information and climate information services can be used to make Africa resilient to climate change through ensuring that decision-makers and planners in agriculture, water, energy, infrastructure, and health are well informed across the various dimensions. Consequently, an understanding of climate information services is essential for people to make informed and appropriate plans to deal with impacts relating to climate. Although climate information services are very important to many countries, there is no systematic process of packaging, translating and disseminating them that are responsive to the various stakeholders. As such, Climate services have to be provided to people and organizations with timely, tailored climate-related knowledge and information that is vital for the day-to-day decision-making.
