Call for Interventions

Why Participate

Participating in the SDG-STYIP Impact Labs offers an opportunity to:

  • Co-create and contribute to shaping scalable solutions that can accelerate progress toward the SDGs and Agenda 2063.
  • Enable a multi-stakeholder platform including governments, development partners, UN agencies, and financial institutions to refine selected interventions.
  • Gain visibility with credit given to proposers of shortlisted interventions at the ARFSD.

SDG-STYIP Impact Labs – Submission Process

Submissions should respond to priority challenges identified in the SDG Issue Papers, which frame key barriers and opportunities for accelerating implementation across the selected SDGs reviewed at ARFSD-12.

How to Participate

Interested participants are invited to follow the steps below:

  • Select a Challenge from the Issue Papers : Participants should review the SDG Issue Papers available on this website and identify a specific challenge or problem statement to which their intervention responds.
  • Prepare a Short Intervention Proposal : Prepare a brief proposal describing your intervention (maximum 500 words), including:
  1. What is your intervention?
  2. Where has it worked?
  3. Who needs to be involved to scale it up?
  4. How can other regions learn from your intervention?
  • Submit Your Proposal : Submit the proposal through the Google Form Submission Link provided on this page by 6 April 2026.
  • Review and Selection : All submissions will be reviewed by the SDG-STYIP Impact Lab coordination team and partners based on relevance to the identified challenges, scalability, feasibility, and alignment with the Agenda 2063.

  • Invitation to the ARFSD-12: Shortlisted proposals will be refined and participants will be invited to the Twelfth Session of the African Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-12).

Please Note: Participation may take place virtually or in person. Participants attending in person will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Disclaimer and Terms of Submission

This Call for Interventions aims to identify innovative and scalable ideas that can accelerate progress toward the SDGs and Agenda 2063. Selected concepts may be further developed and shared with potential implementing and financing partners to explore opportunities for piloting and scale.

Please note that this initiative focuses on sourcing promising intervention ideas rather than supporting proposers through a traditional accelerator programme. As such, individuals or organizations submitting proposals may not necessarily be involved in the subsequent development or implementation of the intervention.

By submitting a proposal, contributors acknowledge that their ideas may be refined, adapted, and potentially implemented by other partners within the ecosystem.

Please ensure that the completed application form, including the detailed proposal, is received no later than 06 April 2026 and using the online platform at: https://forms.gle/JJSYDRFZdbsQWmnu9
