  2. AID 2026 Gabon – Artificial Intelligence Days 2026

Under the theme “Artificial Intelligence, Digital Sovereignty and Economic Diversification: Accelerating the Implementation of the PNCD and Gabon’s Digital Strategy,” the Artificial Intelligence Days (JIA) 2026, to be held in Libreville, will serve as a strategic platform for dialogue, innovation, and the mobilization of public, private, academic, and entrepreneurial stakeholders around the transformative potential of artificial intelligence for economic and social development.

The event is organized in partnership with CONIIA (International Council for Artificial Intelligence), Human AI, and the EU–Africa Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) through its Subregional Office for Central Africa.

Over the course of three days, the JIA will bring together policymakers, international experts, investors, startups, and development partners to explore the opportunities offered by AI to accelerate the digital and economic transformation of Gabon and Central Africa. The program features a high-level conference structured around thematic panels, technical workshops, and strategic dialogue sessions focusing in particular on AI governance, the modernization of public services, cybersecurity, financial innovation, as well as the application of AI in strategic sectors such as health, education, and agriculture.

One of the highlights of the event will be the Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Competition, which will showcase some of the most promising startups on the continent. Selected startups will present their innovative solutions before a panel of experts and investors during pitch sessions, thereby fostering access to financing, networking opportunities, and the emergence of a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem around AI.
