Objective

The Government of Togo through the Ministry of Trade, Handicrafts and Local Consumption with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) African Trade Policy Centre, the Sub-Regional Office for West Africa of ECA and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is organizing from 9 to 10 October 2025 in Lomé a national consultations workshop for the revision of the national strategy for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement.

This national consultations workshop, involving private sector, public sector, and civil society stakeholders, aims primarily to collect both technical and strategic information and data necessary for the revision of the strategy by deepening the national ownership and inclusivity , particularly for updating the strategic diagnosis and revising the strategic framework along with its priority action plan.
