La zone de libre-échange continentale africaine (ZLECAf) est une étape majeure dans le parcours d’intégration régionale de l’Afrique vers la création de la Communauté économique africaine. Elle incarne la vision collective des pays africains de réunir les 1,4 milliard d’habitants du continent et leur produit intérieur brut (PIB) combiné d’environ 3 000 milliards de dollars dans un marché continental unique.

The establishment of the Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA) is a major milestone in the long march of African integration. As foreseen in the Treaty Establishing the African Economic Community (commonly known as the Abuja Treaty), which entered into force in 1994, the integration process is to culminate in the African Economic Community.
