As a CR4D governance entity, the SAC has responsibility to provide guidance on the CR4D research priorities, and scientific assessment of the CR4D climate related research activities as established, supported, and implemented by the CR4D initiative.
The upcoming SAC meeting will review progress in the CR4D research implementation, and build on the recently launched regional five year climate research strategy by considering the related five year implementation plan. The approval of the implementation blue print will pave way for further resource mobilization efforts necessary to give impetus to climate research priorities in Africa.
