Post Event: Launch of ACS StatsTalk-Africa Webinar series

On 28th April 2023, the African Centre of Statistics (ACS) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) successfully launched StatsTalk-Africa Webinar series which focused on: Demystifying Big Data and Official Statistics in Africa. The first of the monthly webinar serieshad over 70 attendees with participants noting that the presentation was timely, eye-opener, long-overdue, informative, responds to demand during the Q1 APPRM on data and statistics, including the clamour from stakeholders to know more about ECA-ACS’ work on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. The recording of the webinar can be accessed at  StatsTalk-Africa_ Demystifying Big Data and Official Statistics in Africa-20230428_123439-Meeting Recording.mp4

In its continuing commitment to provide a space for dialogues about data, statistics, and innovative tools with data experts and users, the ACS wishes to invite everyone to the second StatsTalk-Africa which will be held on 30th May 2023. Concept notes and relevant materials for this upcoming webinar will be shared in due course.
